Organising Projects – August

Sometimes I feel like the more I plan to do, the less that actually gets done!  July was one of those months.  The kids got sick, the husband had the dreaded man flu and just when we thought I had escaped it, I was struck down too!  There were parent teacher interviews, unexpected visitors and well nothing went to plan.

But rather than focus on what didn’t get done, here is a quick snapshot of

July’s Organisation Projects.

We Organised Our Take Out Menus.

The Fridge Got A Make Over

 We overhauled our Finances

The Junk Drawer got a tidy up and the Batteries found a new home.

Once its all there on paper I feel much better about what we have accomplished!

Where to from here…

THE AUGUST ORGANISING LIST

The Pantry

I have at long last bought some Tupperware so the Pantry is in need of a tidy up and some labelling!

Kids Bathroom – Cupboards and Drawers

This one is left over from last month.  The Kids Bathroom needs some new storage solutions, labels and some simple redecorating. Oh and new towels!

Bookweek Costume

Master O is in need of a bookweek costume, in less than 3 weeks time!

Add to this list a whole heaps of decorating projects and we are sure to be very busy!!!

  1. Ooh, I love me a good Tupperware makeover!! When we’re settled back into Australia, I’m going to work hard to convince hubby we need a Tupperware pantry ;)

I like that you’re tackling one area at a time. Slow and steady steps are manageable for us unorganised home keepers!

  3. I am jealous of your organising. I really need to get onto this. Rachel x

  4. Julie says:

Wow, that battery organisation is above and beyond!!! Well done. Can’t wait to see your finished projects for August.

  5. Pink Ronnie says:

LOVE you work. You are like my twin.
Except that I haven’t yet managed to give my fridge the same makeover yet. I would love to one day. But I think I’ve used up our quota of spending money on house stuff for the year – maybe 2013!
And that battery organisation is just all sorts of awesome…
    Ronnie xo

I cleaned out my fridge, pantry, laundry and bathroom cupboards over the last 2 weeks… but they don’t look nearly as organised as yours! Still, the sense of accomplishment and reduction in clutter is very satisfying. Battery organisation… that’s my next challenge!

  7. Jess says:

The fridge looks great, and I love the idea of organisiing the batteries!
We have been on a big sort out around here too. Our store room and bedroom got a major clean out on the weekend, and I’ve been working through the kitchen drawers too.
Still more to do, and I’ve got to finish making no character costumes too!

  8. You have achieved a lot really! I’m all inspired to give the fridge a clean out and sorting!! Thanks :-) P.S. Your blog looks awesome!!

  9. I love that you are making lists and reflecting on how the month went for you and your goal. I think I am feeling a little inspired I must do this

I love looking at organised things, but never seem to get around to doing it. Book week costume – Where’s Wally or the Boy in the striped Pyjamas are always the easiest :)

  12. Kirsty says:

I love how you did the fridge I totally went out and bought those drawer things to use in mine, and its kept the fridge so much tidier these past few weeks!
