Earlier in the week on the “My Pigeon Pair” Facebook page I made a confession. As a family of four we have never been on a family holiday. My family live more than 1000km’s away so we generally spend any spare money or time visiting them. The kids (and us) miss their grandparents, great grandparents, aunties, uncles and cousins so much so we srimp and save to afford the riduculous price of flying four people Townsville.
But I need a HOLIDAY. Somewhere by the beach. Just us. Our little family of four. Looking at everyones beautiful Easter holiday pics has me green with envy. I have been perusing the net looking for cheap travel.
We are lucky to live very close to both the Sunshine and Gold Coast. By holidaying there we can save flight money. But the cost of hotels is extraordinary! So after many hours of trawling the net I stumbled upon coupon codes.
But should I book a holiday online? I have shopped online for everything else but a cheap hotel? Is it too good to be true?
I need your advice! Do you book your holidays online? Do the hotels really look like those in the pictures? HELP!!!
This is a sponsored post from coupon codes.com who are helping me try to find a cheap family holiday! Fingers crossed!

be VERY careful booking cheap hotels online… hubby’s boss did it once, only to realise that he’d been looking at the website of a very similarly named, 4 star hotel – thinking he’d found a really cheap rate for the 4 of them, he booked it. turns out he’d booked a 2.5 star place, with dodgy beds, crappy shower and BYO towels….. do your research, and triple check!
ps – i get the ridiculous airfare dilema – we go the other way TSV-BNE for 3 of us… cheaper to fly my mum here a few times a year…. we will be driving it at Christmas time….
I’ve not used Coupon Codes before. But we’ve just booked a holiday online ourselves. We leave in 3 weeks, and we have an entire week. I can’t wait.
It’s more Joel and the boys’ style of holiday than mine, but just seeing them relaxed and happy (and getting some reading in) will make it worth it.
When looking for holidays/accom, I usually use Stayz or Wotif. They generally work out. Will go check out Coupon Codes though, see what they’re like. We are actually going to go on another holiday in August! (Nothing for years and years, then two in 3 months. I can’t get over it).
Oh. They seem to have things other than holiday deals. Cool. Off to check out the strawberry.net one (I’ve heard of this site, but not used it before). Thanks.
I’ve booked holidays online before, but usually I’ll ask on fb if anyone has been there before and what accommodation would they recommend. Some of those online deals are too good to refuse!
Ben’s the KING of booking holidays online. Who needs a travel agent?! But we do research the accomodation very thoroughly. Good luck!
Yep, I’ve booked holidays, and hotels online. So far, touch wood, they’ve been pretty reliable. Always read reviews from more than one source – that’s my advice to you.
if you’d like to book holiday online in few seconds with one click , I recommend you to visit http://www.bookholiday.org , you should not miss this site
