The ANZAC Awe and Pride

Last Anzac Day we travelled into the city to watch “Daddy” march in the parade.

There he stood. Watching the diggers march by.

His body frozen with a stillness I have never seen before.

Side by side with the generations before us and the generations yet to come.

Waving the flag that means so much to us.

His eyes full of anticipation and awe.

My heart full of pride.

Pride really one of the best words to describe ANZAC Day. Pride, commitment, sacrifice and mateship. I hope that every generation continues to feel that pride. Lovely photo.
